MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR 40
Before your Session

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Most people do not drink enough water to begin with and now that you are using an infrared sauna and sweating, it is even more important to stay properly hydrated. Always drink plenty of water before, during and after your sauna session. Remove all make up to allow your skin to receive the experience full benefits of the IR heat.

What to Wear

Lightweight shorts and tee shirt are ok. Swimsuits are better. “Birthday Suit” is fine, too. More skin exposure is certainly preferable. We recommend brining clothing that is loose fitting and comfortable to put back on after your session.

During your Session

You may not sweat much during your first 2-3 sauna sessions. This is normal for many people, as they haven’t had a recent history of sweating, and it takes a few sessions to “retrain” the body to do what comes naturally.

Take care not to overheat during your first few sessions. As the body continues to adjust, sweating can increase dramatically and body temperature regulation becomes more effective.

If sauna cabin becomes too hot or stuffy, you may open the door for a minute to let some fresh air inside. Drink at least 10 ounces of water. Stretching your arms, legs and back area during your session creates more body flexibility. Massage congested and “knotty” muscle areas to help alleviate pain and

After your Session

When you finish your sauna session, it is important to relax and cool down while your body continues to perspire. Sit or recline with a towel or wrap around you for about 10 minutes.

Enjoy a cold eucalyptus towel located in the Cold Towel fridge. Place the towels you used in the hamper provided. Shower 20-30 minutes after your session.

FAQ

Q: Can I share my Membership Sessions?

A: No. Membership sessions are highly discounted and cannot be shared with friends or family.

Q: What happens if I do not use all of my sessions within a month?

A: Your sessions will carry over to the next month.

Q: How long is the Membership Agreement? What is the cancellation policy?

A: We now offer month-to-month agreements requiring a 30-day prior to billing date cancellation form to be filled out.

Q: Will I be losing water weight?

A: Yes, which will be regained upon rehydration. But the calories burned are real. As you relax in the gentle heat of our saunas, your body is actually hard at work pumping blood (increased heart rate), increasing circulation and producing sweat to cool you down. This results in a caloric burn!

Q: How often should I come in?

A: The more the better! Based on your individual health and wellness goals, we recommend at least 2-3 times a week. For more aggressive results, 4-5 times a week is recommended. We suggest you try the sauna immediately following your workout/fitness program to see the best weight loss results.

Q: Is it true I am still burning calories up to an hour after my session?

A: Yes. By increasing your heart rate and core body temperature by 3 degrees in your session, it could take up to an hour to return to normal. We encourage you to stay active before or after your session if you want to maximize calorie burn.
